Crafting Delightful Homemade Bread for All Occasions

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 packet 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water about 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

Method
 

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar.
  2. Prepare the dry ingredients by whisking flour and salt together.
  3. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours or until doubled.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) during the final rise.
  7. Shape the dough and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
  8. Allow the shaped dough to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
