Ingredients
  

  • 1 pie crust
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese such as Gruyère or cheddar
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables like spinach, bell peppers, or zucchini
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using, sauté the vegetables in olive oil until softened.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Stir in the cheese and sautéed vegetables into the egg mixture.
  5. Pour the filling into the pie crust.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden.
  7. Allow the quiche to cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
