Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless pork chops 1-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional

Method
 

  1. Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes, until browned.
  4. Flip the pork chops and add the butter, garlic, and thyme to the pan.
  5. Baste the pork chops with the melted garlic butter using a spoon for about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; aim for 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Drizzle the remaining garlic butter from the skillet over the chops and serve.
