Savory Crescent Sausage Bites for Every Occasion

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tube 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheese such as cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully cooked.
  3. Add the garlic powder, black pepper, and green onions to the sausage mixture; stir well and remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface and separate it into triangles.
  5. Place a tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle; fold the dough over and roll it up into a bite-sized piece.
  6. Arrange the rolled bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each one.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
