Ingredients
  

  • 4 bone-in pork chops about 1-inch thick
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Method
 

  1. Pat the pork chops dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  5. Add onion and garlic to the skillet, stirring until softened.
  6. Pour in the apple cider and bring to a simmer, scraping the bottom of the pan.
  7. Stir in thyme and apple cider vinegar, then return the chops to the skillet.
  8. Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until cooked through.
  9. Let the chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
