Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the cod fillets to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the butter.
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, lemon Juice, and zest; bring to a simmer.
Return the cod to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the fish.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cod is heated through.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
