Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Prepare the chicken.
  2. Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Add chicken to the marinade.
  4. Transfer chicken and marinade to the crockpot.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Set the crockpot to cook on low.
  7. Check the chicken's doneness.
  8. Remove chicken and shred.
  9. Thicken the sauce (optional).
  10. Return chicken to the sauce and serve.
