Flavorful Spinach Balls for Every Occasion

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh spinach chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, sautéed onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls, roughly the size of a golf ball.
  5. Place the spinach balls on a greased baking sheet, spaced evenly apart.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
