Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the batter.
  6. Carefully pour boiling water over the top of the batter without stirring.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
