Delicious Roasted Turkey with Herb Butter Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole turkey 12-14 lbs
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic cloves minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the herb butter mixture.
  3. Pat the turkey dry and season inside and out.
  4. Loosen the skin over the breast and thighs.
  5. Spread the herb butter under the skin and over the outside of the turkey.
  6. Tie the legs together with kitchen twine and tuck the wing tips underneath.
  7. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour the chicken broth into the bottom.
  8. Roast the turkey, basting occasionally.
  9. Remove from oven and let rest before carving.
