Delicious Mushroom Masala for Home Cooks

Mushroom Masala - Mushroom Curry made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g fresh mushrooms
  • 2 medium onions finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes pureed
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 green chilies slit
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1-2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 2-3 tablespoons oil vegetable or ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Method
 

  1. Prepare the mushrooms
  2. Heat oil and cook the spices
  3. Sauté onions until golden
  4. Incorporate ginger-garlic paste and chilies
  5. Add pureed tomatoes
  6. Sprinkle in the spices
  7. Add the mushrooms to the mixture
  8. Simmer until tender
  9. Finish with garam masala and cilantro
  10. Serve and enjoy
