Delicious Homemade Pizza Rolls for Any Occasion

Homemade pizza rolls made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices or desired fillings
  • ½ cup pizza sauce for dipping

Method
 

  1. Combine flour, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil to the dry mixture.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a cloth to rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  7. Cut the rolled dough into smaller squares, approximately 3 inches each side.
  8. Place a small amount of cheese and filling in the center of each square.
  9. Fold the corners over the filling and seal tightly with your fingers or a fork.
  10. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  11. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving with pizza sauce.
