Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee cooled
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter for frosting
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for frosting

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Allow it to cool slightly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar, mixing until smooth.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before frosting.
  10. Prepare the cafe latte frosting by creaming butter until silky, then gradually mix in powdered sugar, coffee, and vanilla until smooth.
  11. Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled brownies.
  12. Cut into squares and serve.
