Prepare the slow cooker.
Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Combine cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
About 30 minutes before serving, mix crushed Ritz crackers with shredded cheese.
Sprinkle the cracker-cheese mixture on top of the chicken in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes on high to melt the topping.
